漆黒という質感
Z1000MKⅡへ、PMC “漆黒”シリーズを装着。

一見すると「ブラック」。
ですが、実物を前にすると、その印象はまったく異なります。
深みのある黒。
光の当たり方で表情を変える独特の艶。
単なる塗装では表現できない、“漆黒”という名にふさわしい存在感があります。
At first glance, it looks “black.”
However, the impression is completely different when you see the real thing.
A deep black.
A unique sheen that changes its appearance depending on how the light hits it.
It possesses a presence worthy of the name “jet black,” something that cannot be achieved with mere paint.

特にZ1000MKⅡのような空冷Zに組み合わせると、メッキやアルミ地とはまた違う、落ち着いた大人の雰囲気を演出。純正イメージを崩さず、それでいて確実に質感を引き上げてくれます。

今回の画像は、写真では伝わりにくい部分もありますが、実車では明らかに空気感が変わります。
PMCが長年培ってきた表面処理技術と、Zを知り尽くした造形。派手ではない。
しかし、細部を見るほどに違いがわかる仕上がりです。
PMCの“漆黒”シリーズ最大の特徴は、単なる塗装ではなく、金属表面そのものの質感を活かした特殊表面処理にあります。一般的なブラック塗装は、膜厚によってエッジ感が鈍くなったり、光の反射が均一になりやすい傾向があります。
The most distinctive feature of PMC’s “Jet Black” series is not simply paint, but a special surface treatment that utilizes the texture of the metal surface itself. Conventional black paint tends to dull the edges and create a uniform light reflection depending on the film thickness.
一方、黒クロム系表面処理は数μmレベルの非常に薄い皮膜で形成されるため、金属本来のシャープなラインやプレス形状を損なわず、立体感をそのまま残せるのが特徴です。さらに黒クロム特有の、深みのある艶感。
ただ黒いのではなく、光の当たり方によって表情が変わる“奥行き”があります。
実際、黒クロム処理は光学機器や高級車部品などにも採用される技術で、低反射性・耐熱性・耐食性を兼ね備えた機能性表面処理として知られています。
On the other hand, black chrome surface treatment is formed with an extremely thin film at the level of a few micrometers, so it does not impair the sharp lines and pressed shapes inherent in the metal, and its three-dimensionality is preserved. Furthermore, it has a deep luster unique to black chrome.
It’s not just black; it has a “depth” that changes its appearance depending on how the light hits it.
In fact, black chrome treatment is a technology used in optical equipment and high-end car parts, and is known as a functional surface treatment that combines low reflectivity, heat resistance, and corrosion resistance.
